Every app gives you a different amount of room for your bio, from 80 characters on TikTok to 300 on Twitch. Our fancy bio generator helps you style your bio lines for Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook and Twitch while staying inside each limit.
A great bio is about structure, not just style. We show how to build a bio with one styled line and a few plain ones, and how to stay inside each platform’s limit.
What a Fancy Bio Generator Does
A fancy bio generator styles short lines of text for your bio. “living slowly” becomes ✧・゚living slowly・゚✧ with sparkles, 𝓁𝒾𝓋𝒾𝓃ℊ 𝓈𝓁ℴ𝓌𝓁𝓎 in script or ʟɪᴠɪɴɢ ꜱʟᴏᴡʟʏ in small caps.
Each style is Unicode text, so it keeps its look when you paste it into your profile. You can style one line or mix several styles in one bio.
How Long Can a Bio Be on Each Platform?
Bio limits vary a lot between apps, and styled characters count toward every one of them. Here are the limits we work with most:
- Instagram: 150 characters, with room for about three short lines.
- TikTok: 80 characters, which fits one styled phrase and a few plain words.
- X: 160 characters, enough for a styled role and a short plain line.
- Facebook: 101 characters in the short bio on your profile.
- Twitch: 300 characters in your About section, the most room of the five.
Some styled letters count as two characters, and combining effects like underline add a mark to every letter. If a bio will not fit, switch one styled line back to plain letters.
Building a Fancy Bio Line by Line
We build bios in the same order every time:
- Write the Bio in Plain Text: Type your full bio in a notes app first, with each idea on its own line.
- Pick One Line to Style: Choose the line that matters most, like your name, your niche or a short motto.
- Style That Line: Paste or type it into the Your text box, tap Aesthetic styles, and copy the style you like.
- Rebuild the Bio: Replace the plain line in your notes with the styled one, keeping the other lines plain.
- Paste and Check: Copy the whole bio, paste it into your profile, and check that it fits and the line breaks stay.
What Makes a Fancy Bio Look Good
The best bios we see follow a simple shape. Here is what works.
One Styled Line on Top
A styled first line catches the eye, and plain lines below it tell people what you do. This mix looks clean and is easy to read.
Plain Words for What You Do
Keep your niche, location and contact details plain. People and search tools read plain letters best, and important details should never be hard to read.
Simple Dividers
Spacing styles like Dot Separated or Star Separated make nice dividers, like art✦coffee✦travel. They add style without changing your letters.
A Matching Theme
Pick one symbol theme, like sparkles or moons, and stick to it. A bio that mixes hearts, skulls and flowers feels messy.
How Do You Keep Line Breaks in Your Bio?
Some apps remove line breaks when you type a bio directly. Writing the bio in your notes app first, with line breaks in place, and pasting the whole thing usually keeps them.
If the breaks still disappear, check that you are pasting the full block at once. Pasting line by line often removes the break between lines.
What Each Platform Expects in a Bio
Each app has its own bio habits, and following them helps visitors trust you. On TikTok and Instagram, people expect a short line about your content, and a styled first line fits right in.
On X and LinkedIn, the bio reads more like a short introduction, so a role and an interest work better than a lot of symbols.
Twitch bios have more room, which is why streamers often add their schedule and games in plain text under a styled tagline.
How Should You Start Your New Bio?
Start with a sparkle or moon frame on your top line and keep the rest plain. If you are writing an Instagram bio, our Cool Instagram Bio Maker shows how to use all 150 characters well.
